Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Arizona

If you sign a contract with someone else for an apartment and the other person breaks the contract will i be responsible for the apartment financially.

Yes, both tenants are obligated to the landlord for the rent and charges. You may/should have a claim against your co-tenant for their half of the liability.
