Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

career school contract...

I enrolled in a truck driving school.... I payed $500 down with the understanding that the remaining approx $3000.00 would be finananced (payments). I signed the contract and the school rep gave me my copy. I then noticed that not only were the payment amounts/interest rate/finance charge/total of payments were all left BLANK...the school rep DID NOT SIGN IT... so only MY signature is on my copy...I did not get a reciept for my 500 downpayment but there is a notation on the contract showing they collected it and the check #. Is this a valid contract??? help please?? thanks.

Re: career school contract...

This is probably not a valid contract. The terms were not filled in. You should send a letter asking for your $500 back and rescinding the contract.
