Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Student loan debt

Do I still owe lending companies money for student loans if my degree is invalid. I failed to qualify for pre-enrollment into a well known business school but was ''swept'' on through and did graduate with A.A.S. degree. The pre-enrollment qualification was a high school diploma or equivelant (G.E.D.) neither of which I possess. If the degree is legally invalid, am I still responsible for the student loan debt?

Re: Student loan debt

Yes. If you borrowed the money, signed the loan agreements, etc., you are responsible for the loans. Whether your degree is invalid or not, the bottom line is you borrowed the money! Hence, you must pay it back.

P.S. Student loans are generally not dischargeable in bankruptcy either.
