Legal Question in Family Law in California

Alimony

I have been married 9 years 4 months. I plan to file for divorce before the end of the year. Is there an advantage to wait until I've been married 10 years before filing in reference to the alimony laws concerning a long term marriage? I am 64 years old and have not worked in five years. I'll be 65yrs old in November.

Re: Alimony

I would recommend you contact attorney for review of all matters re property, etc. Years likely not matter if question between 9 plus and 10, however, need more info.
