divorce settlement

I was divorced more then 20 years ago, and as part of the settlement, i was to recieve $14,000.00 from my wife's retirement plan. as i am now older and thinking ahead towards my own retirement, the questions is simply, where is it?

you had to do a qualified domestic relation order "QDRO" and send that to her retirement plan administrator.

Start with reviewing your marital settlement agreement. As mentioned by Mr. Levy, you probably have to prepare a QDRO and serve it on the retirement plan administer.
