My husband co-signed on a car loan for daughter, she is unable to pay payments and so are we, dealer refuses to take back car

What is your question? Are you asking if there is some law that requires a dealer to take back a car? From the facts you've given, you and your daughter are on the hook for the full amount of the remaining loan to whomever holds the loan at this point. If there are additional facts, let us know (e.g. Did the dealer or the lender make any representations to you at the time your husband signed the loan? Does the loan itself have any buyer's remorse provision? Is this a car from a manufacturer that is advertising nationally a "we'll take it back if you lose your job" program? In what state did you purchase the car?) Short of that, it sounds simple and, unfortunately, not in your favor.
