Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

Changing the age

Hi. I am citizen of Turkey, but I am living in America since 2006. Now I am at Turkey for changing my age.(it is along story why my birth date is not proper)I did all paper work and bond test to prove my actuall age. I am wondering if there is a problem after I come back to America if I change my age at Turkey. (Because I am a Turkey citizen so I thought I have to do it at Turkey)Is there any other additional work I have to do at America besides reporting the change? I mean should I have to do all what I did at Turkey again at America.

Re: Changing the age

Yes, most definitely. This could cause identity problems if there is a discrepancy between immigration documents and your basic Turkish documents. You should contact an immigration attorney such as myself to reconcile the difference.

This is the kind of thing that might not be an issue for years, but when you need it to be right, it won't be and could cause grave problems in the future.
