Legal Question in Insurance Law in California

one-vehicle accident

I hydroplaned and hit a median/metal/concrete post on a public street. No damage to post, $5600 damage to car. No injuries, did not call police, just hurt my car. Is this ok to claim on insurance, or will there be a problem from ins. co. since no report?

Re: one-vehicle accident

You should claim this on your insurance if you have collision coverage. This is a lot of damage. Your rates will go up for an at fault accident, but if you have collision coverage, you should get them to pay for the damage to your car.
