Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Do we have a case?

My husband & I work as independent contractors for a freight brokerage company ... We've worked for them almost 8 months & have been suspended from getting new work twice for no apparent reason... Based on the events that have transpired, we believe this is racial discrimination

Re: Do we have a case?

Separate from your beliefs. you need specific evidence to prove it is racial discrimination. If you have specific facts and evidence, tangible proof, you may send my office an email.

IF you have evidence of racial discrimination, then you will need to file a Complaint with the Dept of Fair Employment and Housing or the EEOC, to see if they will accept your filing and facts as being sufficient. Then consult with counsel to get their opinion whether a lawsuit is justified and worth doing. If serious about doing so, feel free to contact me after DFEH.
