Change of Pay Upon Termination
I was terminated from my job 2 months ago for being rude to a customer.
Upon termination, my boss told me that I had to sign a document before leaving. It was titled ''Notice of Termination'' It bascially stated why I was being terminated. It then also informed me saying ''you are hereby notified you will be compensated at minimum wage for the last 3 weeks of work you comleted.'' I signed not knowing that this document might have legal standing. I'm only 19 years old.
I was under the impression that I was bascially agreeing to my termination. They changed my wages from $22 per hour to $8 per hour for the previous 3 weeks I had worked under them. Over 145 hours. Can they do this? And if not, what california labor code restricts it?

You can file a complaint with the Labor Commissioner for the wages due, with interest and penalties. If the company contests and fights it, you can hire counsel to help you in the hearing and trial. Feel free to contact me if that is the case.
