Legal Question in Employment Law in California

What form should I use if I am an "idependent contractor" bringing in new business to a company via my contacts? I want the agreement to be a win, win for both the company and myself. Although I want it to be understood that if I was to leave said company that the account is mine because I'm spending my money and time to bring in the "new business."

Another concern of mine is the length of time as to when I receive compensation. The type of company I would be working for does building restoration services after a fire, water, or other type of disaster to real property.

There is no "form" for this.

Form? No way. Your business must invest in getting the proper contract[s] drafted by experienced counsel. It has to contain all the negotiated terms, conditions, warranties and representations necessary to protect you and the other party, while accomplishing your objectives. It is just one of many 'cost of doing business' expenses a company has to pay to do things properly. If serious about doing so, feel free to contact me.
