Legal Question in Employment Law in California

A return was done at my previous employers store. The return was done under my code. No one wants to fess up on who didnt. Now my previos boss is blaming me and thinks im responsible. The thing with all of this is that everyone i worked with had my code because he authorized me to give it out, because no one would be able to log in, check inventory, or pricing with out it. So the sisuation here is that he honestly thinks its me and think i did a return, and took the money. Which by the way no returns are allowed at the store, only certain sutuations. Please let me know what I can do. Does he have a case to take me to court. The return was for 150.00. help!

If he thinks he has a case and it is worth his time, he can take it to court or make a complaint to the police for investigation. Other than deny you were responsible, you should not say or do anything without the advise of an attorney.
