Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Saleried Employees and Mandatory Overtime

I am one of 15 salaried employees working on a project for a large general contractor. Each salaried employee is expected to work late during the week and on Saturday's based on a rotating schedule. We only get paid for 40 hours per week, regardless of how many late night or weekend shifts we work. Is this legal?
