How long do Ikeep another persons furniture left in my care before I can claim

I sub-rented a house and the person I rented from left all their furnituer in my care.After 4 months all was asked to move out. the persons furniture left in my care I moved with my stuff.The person that whom it belongs agreed for me to care for it.But I haven't heard from them in 4 months now.How long beore I can claim it as mine.Because I'm paying the storage fees etc..And what do I have to do to claim it legally?

You cannot claim it as your own. You must sell it to the highest bidder (after proper notification and publication in the newspaper). Once sold, you can deduct cost of sale and storage expenses, and then the profit must be sent to the owner.
