Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

i am making payments on a freightliner truck to own from a man. I got in an accident with the truck and owed $7,000 on it, my insurance needs the title of the truck to pay whats left owed but everything is still on his name and it seems he put the truck in equity so i can't get anything for the truck.

You need to have the owner of the truck sign over the title to the insurance company. They can make arrangements to send him the first $7,000 of the payout for the loss.
