Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

I got into a motorcycle accident. The handle bar went into my thigh and was in a wheel chair for a month. Had to miss a week of work and school which costed me ($2,500). The insurance guy offered me $16,000 + they pay medical bills ($9,000).... What is this accident REALLY worth?

Hello:

Your injuries sound serious. You need meet with an attorney, go over your bills, past and future treatment and then ascertain what your case is REALLY worth. Without an attorney, an insurance company would LOVE you to immediately settle.

Where in CA are you located? Our offices are in Beverly Hills. We offer a FREE consultation and you only pay if you win.

It is likely this is worth more. You should hire an attorney.

What Mr. Jones said is true, your injuries are serious. Many people are scared to hire an attorney, or have a knee jerk reaction that they are not the "lawsuit" type of person. The only thing this accomplishes is allowing the insurance company to take advantage of you.

You are entitled to a fair and just compensation for your injuries, not simply what the insurance company in their "goodness" feels you are entitled to. You are welcome to call my office and I will discuss with you how we can get the best possible settlement or outcome with your case, and it will not cost you a penny unless I win.

Looking forward to working with you, and my offices work throughout California for people injured in accidents and we protect many people from overzealous insurance carriers. Let me know how I can serve you.

Your case sounds like it is worth a heck of a lot more than what the crooked insurance company is offering you. Without knowing more specifics such as the nature and extent of your injuries whether you have broken bones versus soft tissue, how long you had problems, how bad a mistake did the defendant made ( I assume they admitted responsibility for the collision) etc it is hard to give you a figure but given my 25 years of experience and having handled and tried motorcycle cases again it sounds like you typical low ball insurance company offer.

Here are some general thoughts as to value given clear liability. Take 2 to 3 times the full value of the medical bills, that is what they actually billed not what was actually paid and add your lost wages. That will give you a general ballpark number from where you start to factor in the specifics of your case.

Give us a call and we will evaluate your case for free. If you want to hire us we will take it on a percentage basis of what new money we can bring to the table. That would be the fair thing. If your interested check our website out at bellilawfirm.com and give us a call at (866) 981-1850.

Good luck and hope to hear from you.

As others have noted, it is at least worth speaking with an attorney(s) before you agree to their settlement offer. You may not need an attorney, but based on my experience, that is a low offer. Of course issues such as liability need to be evaluated; a second opinion never hurts. If you are still on the fence about this, give me a cal or shoot me an email.

Hope your recovery is going well,

Best,

Bryan
