Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

I tripped over the extension portion of a "sale advertisement" sign pole base inside a macy's in Dec.'10. A floor person took my name on an accident report but I didn't write a report at the time. Through the holiday to now, I've been mostly bed ridden. I think my back is hurt since I hit the floor so hard. I'm 67 and have had a previous back problem and now it's been seriously arrgrovated by the fall. I've called macys and they are uncoroperative. What now?

You should make a claim with them, and if they are not responsive, then you will have to file a lawsuit against them. You had better have good evidence of the extension pole sticking out, or it is your word against theirs. Good luck.
