Legal Question in Product Liability in California

are T&Cs void if the product was from an illegitimate stock?

I bought a hard drive from a California supplier. The Hard Drive died 12.5 months later. The vendor will not honor the warrantee as the product was not from the right region of the world. This was not disclosed prior to the sale. The supplier is now trying to wash thier hands of this. Any comments?
