Re: Unauthorized Credit Card Use

You did not say which campus you live on; assuming it is UBC in Vancouver, go straight to th eRCMP detchment on campus and report this fraud. Next, call the credit card company and say that your room-mate took your card without permission and you want to have the charges taken off. They must do so if you insist that there was a theft and you did nothing to allow it - i.e. you did not give the card t your room-mate and did not just leave it lying around, but he actually went into your wallet or private space and took it. They will send you a form you must fill out and swear to be true about the theft and send back to them before thye will take the cahrge off. You should also report the matter to the University; ther shuld be an ethics office. Call the Registrar's office to find out.
