parent leaving state with child not divorce and no custody as of yet

what is considered a legal time for a parent to remove child from state on vacation? But never returning and entering child in school. what are the limits and how to get child back

I'm not sure I understand your question. Did a parent take a child out of state, supposedly on vacation, and then didn't return with the child?

If so, you may have to file for a divorce (or custody if you aren't married)and get into court on an emergency basis to get a court order to return the child.

You really need to talk to a lawyer.
