Being Accused of Registering Someone on a Porn Site

I have looked all over the internet for resourses regarding this issue and cant find anything, maybe you can help me.

I am being accused of registering someones email address on a porn site. An IP address was supplied to the person when they inquired as to who was the subscriber. The dynamic IP address matched an email I had previously sent to them from the IP location. I didnt do it. Am I liable based on a dynamic IP address, and what can I do to defend myself?

Thank you

You need to show it was a mistake and correct it if possible.
