Legal Question in Technology Law in Florida

Website employee photos

I recently was dismissed from my position with a company and I noticed that my picture and others are still posted on the website.

Its been over a month since I left and I really do not want to be associated with the company any longer.

I have not contacted the employer yet because of unemployment benefets that he may protest because of this.

But I would like to know for after it is safe.

Thank You

Re: Website employee photos

When its safe send them an invoice for $10 a day for using your image without your consent. They won't pay it, but you can bet your last nickel that your picture will be gone from their website faster than George Bush can apologize.

They can't use your image without your approval, and if they do use it, you are theoretically entitled to some compensation. At common law you have a right to control what is done with your likeness.
