Legal Question in Constitutional Law in Florida

I’m out on bail but have to wear a leg monitor and pay a $40 supervisory fee and have not been convicted of anything! Is this legal?

That's a great question. I took a look at the Florida criminal statutes and the judge does have discretion to impose conditions on releasing someone after they've been arrested based on all the facts and circumstances of the charged offense and prior record, if any. So the answer is 'yes', the leg monitor is legal.

Good luck.
