Any charges?

If a kid is sexually assaulted at a hotel and there are guards there who didn't do anything, can you sue the hotel or the guards or something?

Re: Any charges?

There is a possibility of a case against the hotel, although it would be a civil case. These causes of action are sometimes referred to as negligent failure to provide security. Please contact me to discuss your case in detail.

Re: Any charges?

Short answer is - Yes.

I often tell clients that you can sue just about anyone for just about anything, the question is, will you recover damages worth the strains of litigation?

A lot more information is needed to determine the merits of your suit. Take advantage of a free consultation and speak in depth about the issues here.

Re: Any charges?

The answer to your question is yes but

these facts surrounding the sexual assault will determine how feasible the case is to litigate and get a damage award against the hotel. In most situations the hotels have insurance to cover this type of situation where if security was not provided and should have been. I practice law in Florida and would be happy to talk with you

about this case. If you want to discuss this further e-mail me your phone number.
