Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
My friend is on state (Florida) probation for burglary; he has about 2.5 more years to go. He is also on county (Lee) probation for a misdemeanor battery. His county probation officer filed that he had violated his probation because he didn't complete his community service. A warrant has been issued, so he'll have to serve some time for that. My question is: Does violating his county probation like that constitute a violation of his state probation? In other words, is he likely to go to jail for the remaining time he has on state probation because he was too lazy to do his community service?

I would need to know dates of when he was placed on probation for each. However, violating misdemeanor probation does not necessarily mean he violated felony probation. It all depends on the terms of each probation.
