Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

pre trial diversion

I was arrested in a undercover sting operation for prostititution i was waiting for a ride when two female undercover officers came up to me posing as prostitutes and induced me to go to their room. Well my question is this if i want to keep this off my record because of my security clearance can i still get pretrial diversion even though i have a prior conviction about 10 yrs back in another state. thnxs

NOTE: This communication is not intended as and should not be interpreted as legal advice. Rather, it is intended solely as a general discussion of legal principles. You should not rely on or take action based on this communication without first presenting ALL relevant details to a competent attorney in your jurisdiction and then receiving the attorney's individualized advice for you. By reading the "Response" to your question or comment, you agree that the opinion expressed is not intended to, nor does it, create any attorney-client relationship, nor does it constitute legal advice to any person reviewing such information, nor will it be considered an attorney-client privileged communication. If you do not agree, then stop right here, and do not read any further.

You may be offered a pre trial diversion program. An aggressive attorney fighting for you will help. It depends on the facts of your case, any other priors, and the county in which you reside - and how serious they take your action. Prostitution is generally considered a minor crime from both sides and is not prosecuted strongly.
