Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

My 16 year old son is living with my parents in Florida. I live one hour away in Alabama. I have custody of my son, but have provided my parents with a durable power of attorney so that they could register him into school. His father died in 1997 and I have arranged for my parents to receive his survivor's benefits through Social Security. Can I share custody with my parents so that they can seek medical care for him, sign him up for school sports, etc? I prefer not to reliquish my parental rights.
