I have cancer and went to texas for treatment i was advised while i was there my husband filed for divorce and took my child i had the child 3 years before we were married and now he wants full custody of child

To assert your parental rights to your child, you should answer the petition for dissolution of marriage to explain the situation and claim your rights. Parental rights are not determined by such health issues. Florida law provides joint custodial rights for divorced parents, with parental responsibilities for support and care. If you want to retain residential custody of your child, assert that right to the court.
