Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

divorce

I am wanting a divorce and I do not

know where my spouse is. I have

divorce papers that I had gotten from

''complete case'' dot com and they

ask for her information. Since I have

no idea where she is how can I still

go about filing when the papers ask

for her information?

Re: divorce

First, you really need to try and find her. Do a "skip trace" with USSearch.com or a private investigator, check with her family and friends, check with the company she last works for, check for a forwarding address, check Facebook.com, etc. There should be a form in your packet that has a list of things you need to do at a mimimum to find her.

If you really can't find her, and you think you can convince a judge that you really tried, you can mark "unknown" for her contact information. Then follow the instructions in your packet, on the web, at a law library, through a lawyer, or somewhere for "service by publication."
