joint property

my fiance has 2 homes and I have 1 home. doest the property or any assets stay the property of each person or does it become joint property after we marry

It does not have to become joint property but there are ways you can unknowingly make it joint property. Also, any appreciation of the property during a marriage can be considered an asset of the marriage

You may want to consider having joint pre-nuptual agreements.

It does not become joint but each will have certain rights thereto, unless the parties have a pe nuptial agreement.
