Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

I am seeking an apartment in Florida. Some of the application forms ask about my criminal record. Is there a time limit past which I don't need to answer. I was convicted of Robbery in 1973 and approx 20 years ago I pled No Contest to domestic battery.
