Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Florida

Patient/Doctor Confidentiality

My husband and I recently started to share a DR. with our neighbor. Several months ago my husband had a very personal problem with his penis(he is very modest)so our sex life has really suffered, my husband went to this Dr. with the problem soon after it happened and when I learned about it (from my husband) I asked the Dr. about it and he acted as if he never knew of it. Anyways, long story short...my neighbor whom also is a very good friend of ours told us that she was floored when this Dr. told her that we are having sexual problems and he can't figure out what my husbands problem is (even though medically it is very obious, broken penis) but he keeps going on that at our young age our sex life should be great and that he is very concerned about me and he gave my neighbor his ''private'' cell phone number to pass on to me. He has been very fresh with me before and he really made my neighbor feel that he is insinuating that my husband is having an affair. Which I know he is not!!! My husband is very embarassed and upset about the whole situation and now this Dr. telling our neighbor really made it even worse. I have more to add to the details. Please let me know if you agree that he stepped over THE LineWe feel sick over this!

Re: Patient/Doctor Confidentiality

stupid, stupid, stupid. If this is as you say, he should be reported to the regulatory board. The breach of confidentiality could not be plainer.
