If I buy a house with only my name on the title and my financial information, will my wife have any rights to the house if we divorce?

It depends on how long you're married before the divorce. The general rule is the property you bring into the marriage separately is yours, but as the years go by your separate assets mesh together to be joint assets regardless of whose name is listed as owner. Except where you have a prenuptial agreement and agree to keep your separate property as separate, and you actually follow the agreement year after year. Everything is always up for negotiation and there are no hard and fast rules. Hope that helps.

Good luck.

In Florida, a spouse has certain Homestead rights to the marital home. A pre nuptial agreement is a good idea.
