Child custody for non-married parents

I have a four year old son and me and the father have never been married. My son's father lives in Ohio and I live in Georgia I want to establish joint custody. How can I go about that

As you, the Mother, live in Georgia, and are the one initiating joint custody, you may wish to contact the (Georgia) Department of Family Services ("DFACS") in the county in which you reside. For example, the one in Burke County is at 706-554-7751; ask for Penny Walden. An alternative would be for you to contact an Attorney in your county who does Family legal work.
