Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

divorce

I have divorced one year. we agreed that transfering the house title under my name and I will pay him $70000.00 cash from the house by refinance, and he will give $500.00 kid support fee each month. since I don't have that much money to pay him, so far the house is still under both of our name and he didn't pay the kid support each month. I once talked with him about deducting the kid support fee from the total amount that I need to pay to him, but he didn't agree with this. he said I need to pay him the interest untill I give him all of the money. do you think this will cause any problem later if I keep this situation. do you have any suggestion? Thanks.

Re: divorce

Technically, each party is supposed to do what the divorce says. However, variances from the strict terms generally do not pose a problem; just get the agreement in writing.
