How Can We Share The Baby?
Single, hardworking 26 yo mom has 10 mo baby girl. Baby's father not around during pregnancy. Currently pays daycare and keeps child on some weekends due to mom's thoughtfulness. Baby returned home with burns on fingers and no explanation from dad. Mom concerned
and stops visits. Dad threatens to have childs last name changed to his and get 50/50 custody of baby.Dad lives with his mother and has an assault felony on his record. Couple never married. What should young mother do to safeguard her mother's rights?

Report your concerns about the fahter to DFACS and terminate te visits. Keep good records and use the agencies to help you. Since he has nt legitimated the child, he has no right to demand visitation. Note taht his mother may end up driving the legal train because she will insist on seeing her grandchild.
