Legal Question in Business Law in Hawaii

Is this legal?

I work for a full service travel company based overseas. We sent out 4 VIPs (high volume) to Hawaii. We were liable and made comm. on AIR ONLY. As a courtesy, we contacted a local agent for resort arrgmnts. Long story short, the agency provided fake documentations ( fake checks and representing as if they were from that resort) and charged a 100% comm upon quoted rate. Isn't this illegal? What do I do about this? My boss is very angry and insulted as we lost out on money to compensate VIP customers seeing they can't deal directly with that company and to ease their anger. All in all, we're out of customers, monies which we never were a part of, and deface of reputation of our co.

Re: Is this legal?

No it is not legal. Your company was defrauded. Hawaii has great interest in ensuring tourism customers are not defrauded. There are some contract remedies available to you but I need much more information regarding your case. Please email back or call me at 1-808-526-0892 and give me more detail.
