Legal Question in Personal Injury in Hawaii

What are my legal rights after a fall due to a very wet floor from employee mopping at a convenient store on oahu ? There were no caution floor signs in the area. I had pain & swelling @ the store, signed an incident form then left because I could walk minutes after I fell. I could not standup without assistance so the manager helped me up. Now, three days later, I still have some pain & slight swelling of one knee.

The answer depends on liability and damages. First, whether the store was negligent by creating a hazardous condition and did you contribute to your injury by failing to use caution. Second, what were your damages, ie: bruises, lacerations, strain or fractures, and do you have medical expenses and did you miss any work. If you didn't seek medical treatment, your damages are likely to be negligible.

If you sought medical treatment and have prescribed medication, physical therapy, chriopractic care and other treatment, your damages will be greater.
