Legal Question in Immigration Law in Idaho

Hello

I live in ID for 3 years in January and married but not US citizen yet. My husband told me and my children (from my late husband) to move out. How can I divorce my husband without losing my chance to file my citizenship ?

Re: Hello

First, we would have to know how and when did you enter the USA and what is your current status now. Also, did your husband ever submit a petition for alien relative on your behalf? We would need more details about the situation. If you wish, please feel free to contact me so we can discuss further and privately.

Re: Hello

If your husband was a US citizen and there was a valid basis for the divorce (i.e. abuse, etc.) you may be eligible to file a VAWA petition for battered wives. But this is just a guess at this point. I would need quite a bit more information from you to make an accurate assessment of what options are available to you. Feel free to call me to set up a consultation.
