Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Illinois

Dog biting another dog

A man walking his two dogs on leashes called animal control to report that one of my 3 dogs got out of my yard, bit one of his dogs (about 1/2 block away) and returned to the back yard. I asked animal control to give me a description of which of my dogs since all three are different breeds. She did not know. The man did not tell her. How can I prove that my dogs were in the yard? When animal control showed up 2 of my dogs were already in the house. Is it posible that a ''city dog'' goes out, attacks, crosses the street and comes back to the house like nothing happen, no scratches, no blood. His dogs are 2 golden retrievers.

Re: Dog biting another dog

It is not for you to prove it was not your dog. It is for the person who is complaining to prove it was your dog.

If it was not your dog then deny any allegations made against you and demand proof of the charges.

I hope this helps,
