You can not take the money AND run for legal assistance. They will insist that you sign a release of claims before giving you any money.

Falls are difficult cases to handle on your own. I have had cases with Burger King and McDonalds in Illinois and Indiana and they will not settle with an individual for a fair amount.

You should contact an attorney asap.

Do not take the money and run! You should definitely talk to an attorney regarding this case so that you can get a fair and reasonable amount. You may call my office anytime for advice regarding this issue.

Before they give you the money, they will have you sign a release which effectively puts an end to all your claims. If a $1500 satisfy you, then take the money.

But I would not think that it would be wise to do so.

You would do yourself a favor by getting an attorney to look over your case and see what's what. You may be entitled to at least $10k, or you may be entitled to 100 times that amount. It all depends on the circumstances of your case.
