Companies getting involved in a worker comp settlement

Is it legal for a company to get involved in a wokers comp settlement and ask that the insurance company offer the employee settlement with their resignation just because the employee obtained legal representation due to their work injury?

A company may not retaliate against an employee for having filed a WC claim for injuries sustained on the job regardless whether or not an attorney has been hired.

The employee should report this to his attorney who will then have to notify the Commission for proper action against the company in form of fine and/or other actions.
