Legal Question in Family Law in India

I got married to a dutch citizen a year back. When I had been to his house,he had verbally and physically abused me. I'm expecting my baby within few months, will I get custody of my child,in case if we get separated? Please help.

the mother is always given priority over the father in custody issues. is your husband living in india at present?
