Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Indiana

My account with Discover Card was closed several months ago & I've been unable to use it for about a year before that. Since this account has been closed, do I legally have to keep making payments. Due to unemployment & health issues Zi'm having to decide whether to make a payment or get my rx's filled. Thank you.

You still owe the money even if the account has been closed to further charges.
