Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Indiana

Judgement & Collection Agency

I have a judgment against me for credit card debt and just got a notice that they are to garnish my wages but I never received the notice to go to court for the discovery.

In the meantime, I received a notice from a collection agency on this same debt (only it is for the original amount without all the court costs and attorney fees).

What do I do? Did the credit card company sell my debt twice? Can I go back to court and make better arrangements for paying?

Yes, the creditor probably sold the debt twice. I think you are still stuck with the debt. I suggest that you contact a lawyer to see what sort of deal might be struck but do not be surprised that the answer is none.
