Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Indiana

Repo

My husband had a vehicle repossesion 10 years ago in the state of Virginia. He has moved to Indiana since and he has heard nothing regarding collection for almost 9 years. Recently he was sent a letter requesting payment of 10,000 of which 6000 was interest. What is the statue of limitations on a vehicle reposession? He is already garnished (voluntarily) for child support, and is a retired veteran and his ex-wife receives 49% of his retirement and 120.00 a month in alimony and has for 12 years as well. A debt incurred--name removed--her through the miliary Comminsary is garnished out of his pension too. Is there a limit to the garnishments? Out of the 920.00 retirement he sees 240.00 due to his ex-wife. As well as 187.00 per week in child support he pays for his daughter out of his payroll. Can this collection agency garnish his wages as well? And what is the law regarding the statue of limitations.

Re: Repo

Depends on if Virgina or Indiana law would apply. As for Indiana, this article may help: http://haslerlaw.blogspot.com/2008/01/collections-statute-of-limitations.html
