Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

Movin g out of state with child

My family is moving out of state with my daughter. Her real father says he is going to try to stop our move or get joint custody of her. He has lived out of Indiana most of her life. And we will only live five hours away. Can he do this successfully.

Joint custody is unlikely. However, he could get custody of the child. Espcially, if you do not follow the statute on relocation.

I suggest that you read the articles I have on relocation at my Indiana Divorce and Family Law Blog on relocation. Cut and paste this into your browser: http://www.blogger.com/posts.g?blogID=1442020469207898141&searchType=ALL&txtKeywords=&label=relocation

Then call an attorney.
