grand parents rights

Can i get decent visitation with my grand daughter if i was main caregiver for 7 years.. no harm done was best thing for her great grandma. loving caring health conscience etc...I have done nothing! daughter new hubby wants me out of kid life and theirs in face my whole family out! can i get more time than 2 hours month if i fight? and maybe possible babysitting when mom at work? etc? as always? i know kid hurts as much as i she being threatened she will never see me again. if she brings me up etc being forced to forget me. i sent her letters etc and nothing was gave to her?can this be done? not best interest of this child to lose her grand mother?all the security and love safety net she ever knew? i need to see her? any help? advise?

Under the circumstances you describe you have a good argument to make for being awarded visitation rights and you may even qualify as a de facto custodian. It would be worthwhile to sit down with a lawyer who practices family law and lay all the facts out to see if you actually would fit the de facto custodian requirments.
