Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Kentucky

Refusal to sell joint property

I bought a house jointly with a family member. I want to sell the house and the family member refuses to sell the house or list it with a realtor. We have a mortgage on the house. How can I force him to cooperate and sell the house?

Re: Refusal to sell joint property

For this you will have to get an attorney. You have a right to bring a lawsuit to have the court to order the sale of the property by the Master Commissioner at public auction. Enough said. Retain counsel. You cannot do this yourself. Don't waste your time asking around except to find competent counsel.
