Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Louisiana

Individual's Privacy Rights

I met my boyfriend while he was legally separated but not yet divorced. To make things difficult, his ex has stated my name in legal documents on the matter of their divorce. His divorce was filed before he knew me, but not settled due to property, money, etc. Do I have any rights to protect myself against her invading my privacy or any other legal verbiage which this matter could be stated for litigation purposes? I reside in Louisiana, the divorce is filed in Texas

That's the danger of being involved before the ink is dry.

The fact that your name is mentioned is pretty meaningless, unless she tries to haul you into court.

Get a lawyer to review the case documentation for peace of mind.
